Is there any monetory gain to the developer who had worked on the software which has just recently got the patent? row
Depends on whether there's someone that can be sued right away for violating the patent (said only half-jokingly). There really is no single answer for this. At my past jobs, if a dev develops some code that the company later patents, the dev got a few thousand dollars as a bonus. This was the policy of the companies, not something that can be applied all across the industry.
