Have Microsoft been spending the month fixing bugs as rumoured? I've received a total of 12 Security Bulletins from Microsoft this month - all with patches for large and small holes in Windows and related products. 12 in 28 days seems a little more than usual, or is it just a coincidence? Michael :-)

Wow, fixing security problems. What a concept. :) Of course, this isn't good for the Linux crowd. They wouldn't be caught dead doing anything that MS is doing (finally!!!!). Tim Smith I know what you're thinking punk, you're thinking did he spell check this document? Well, to tell you the truth I kinda forgot myself in all this excitement. But being this here's CodeProject, the most powerful forums in the world and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question, Do I feel lucky? Well do ya punk?

Exactly my thoughts. They have the fear of Bill in them ;) I'm guessing they just got onto the SMTP code since I got 2 successive patch notifications for the SMTP servers this morning. cheers, Chris Maunder

That Linux distro's don't have their own security mailing lists? Or that they don't fix problems and issue patches?

LOL. Just a joke that some of the more rabid ones hate MS so much that they wouldn't be caught dead doing something that MS does. Damn, my jokes are REALLY sucking bad as of late. And some people we all know hate Linux with an equal passion. Go figure. Reminds me of the Ford vs Chevy fights (literally) back in high school. Hell, I'll drive anything that gets me there, and use anything that they pay me to use.

And some people we all know hate Linux with an equal passion. Guilty of that myself sometimes. :( But usually I get over myself. I'll program anything that will make me money. Security patches are available to anyone, Nish! There's even a Security alert service, I believe, that let's you know when a new one is available.

I was talking to a mate yesterday about the exact same thing and we both had the same conclusion that a lot of Linux fans only do Linux because they hate MS, not because they think Linux is any good. Also anything MS does, they do the polar affect. Pretty sad really. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa "The greatest thing you will ever learn is to love, and be loved in return" - Moulin Rouge Sonork ID: 100.9903 Stormfront
