How to start?

I've read\viewed some articles about ASP\ASP.NET and I want to learn something about it. I have WinXP Professional with IIS on my machine. I'm connected to Internet via LAN (linux). Should I have any software beside VS.Net. I heard that there are some problems when the server is under Linux control. I only want to write and test ASP apps on my computer.

You don't have to be even connected to Internet if you want to develop ASP/ASP.NET. Your computer will be a server by itself, with domain name "localhost". So it is doesn't matter how you are connected to Internet. Philip Patrick "Two beer or not two beer?" (Shakesbeer) Web-site: www.saintopatrick.com
