I don't know. I kinda think they'll be better off than images that take up plenty of real estate space.

No. With half the screen taken up by banner ads, you still have half the screen in which to read the article. With IntelliTxt, you have all of the screen taken up by ads, even in those rare cases where the site owner fails to combine them with banner ads...

Someone could write a neat IntelliTXT blocker app and sell it for 10 bucks a piece :-) Regards, Nish

          > "IntelliTXT helps you view advertising on your own terms." Fair enough, my terms are actually pretty straightforward: Go away. Forever.

I'm just a noob but i think i could use something like that. Not for advertising tho. Buggered if I'll pay for it - rather do something up meself. A dumb question - why do you think it's stupid? Are you crticising that it's advertising or the concept?

Well, i have this habit of moving the mouse pointer over words as I'm reading. The last thing I want to see is a pop-up window as I'm donig this. Now, if it popped up on a click instead of a mouseover, I guess it wouldn't be too bad. I just don't like the concept of doing stuff on a mouseover (other than highlighting, etc.). That make sense? ~Nitron.

I've seen this technology employed before. I don't recall ever visiting those sites again - they're as annoying as hell. X| Cheers, Vikram.

Didn't realize that the ads don't close automatically on focus exit. That's too bad. If it did, it could be better, but as it is, it's not.

I tend to select the line or paragraph I'm reading since I'm a speed reader and it puts the whole think into focus. :)

What disturbs me about it is that its hijacking what used to be a tooltip. So I keep thinking I'm gonna see some useful additional info about what's highlighted but in the end they just want my money. This statement is false.
