Blame Hezbollah. They got precisely what they wanted, at the expense of the rest of the Lebanese people. They knew what the results could be, and provoked anyway. I have zero sympathy for them. As for the rest of Lebanon, perhaps they should rethink harboring Hezbollah, since hezbolla clearly has no concern for the welfare of Lebanon, or they would not have provoked (and continue to provoke) attack.

Nah, I live in a nice house in the country. But, when I was growing up, my mother's greatest hope was to be able to move out of our little shack and into one of the trailers in the trailer park across the street - that is, our big dream was to be rich enough some day to be considred trailer trash. Most of my kinfolk remain trailer trash, or worse, so I'm more than a little familiar with that particular cultural milieu. (BTW, if you ever visit a trailer park, don't use phrases like 'cultural milieu' cause somebody'l fuck'n shoot your ass. Its ok to say 'kinfolk' though)

Really? For the past 6 years, since Israel's withdrawal, Hezbollah has been quiet compared to Israel's aggressions against Lebanon and Palestine. For the record, Israel bombs areas of Beirut every year. I know because I visit my parents annually and I see it annually. What's weird is that they claim it's against terrorists, like when they bombed a hotel two days earlier than when they were hosting the Miss Europe pageant four years ago, but mostly bomb it in the summer during tourist season. So kindly don't insult the Lebanese people's intelligence. After all, Israel has been using civilian human shields for a very long time, against UN resolutions and has imprisoned 400 women and children (under the age of 16) against UN resolutions and has denied them access to due process, against UN resolutions and Palestinian and Lebanese governments' requests, to no avail. Just a few weeks before this incident started, the Palestinian authority had requested that their imprisoned civilians be released or charged with something to begin the legal process, but many have been imprisoned for years and most tend to be used as bartering chips. It is only finally that they decided to use this as an excuse and totally wipe out an innocent country that they had occupied for 22 years. Enough is enough. Hezbollah are Lebanese. It would be like us bombing all of Israel because some Israelis that we don't like are living among the rest of the Israelis. What a crock! Israel is the one that provoked and continues to provoke it's aggressions against the Lebanese people. We are finally sick and tired of it and I hope they get what's coming to them. :confused: Are the Israelis the idiots because they seek to expand the settlements, imprison and torture Palestinians on suspicion of wrongdoing, and refuse the return of Palestinians - therefore, they shouldn't complain when the Palestinians capture an Israeli soldier? The differnece is that if the Palestinians (et al) laid down their arms, the violence would end. If Israel did the same, Hitler's dream would become our reality. The muslim community has a choice, Israel doesn't.

Arguments and disagreements I can handle. It is just a simple matter of discussing whatever the issue is in an atmosphere of mutual respect insofar that if an argument or disagreement cannot be resolved to everybody's satisfaction then the only proper, correct and honourable thing to do is to agree to disagree, and perhaps return to the issue at a later time in the expectation of finding a mutual solution. That is not my idea of " guilt ridden and appeasers ". Do you not prefer harmony to disharmony, if so, perhaps you might like to give me valid reasons.

Israel left of its own accord, in good faith to agreements that no one else has respected.
