New image not showing on some posts

I've seen this a few times before, but didn't think to grab a screen shot or post anything about it. When I load up the Work Issues forum it tells me there is one new post, but the new image isn't showing; I have to change my options so that it shows all posts since the specified date (which I think is the time that counts as new images). I've put up a screen shot on my website. In the shot you see where I've set it to show me all the new messages, but still no new image.
