I don't know is possible, or is it anyone else intersted, but I would like oportunity to purchase :omg: CD which will contain articles and source code from CP - something like Dr.Dobbs CD, but cheaper. Since I bought MSDN magazine (2000) CD for US$9.81 (+S&H to Canada), I'll gladly pay up to $20 (+S&H)to have yearly CP CD - it's just convenient to have. What do you guys think? Is it possible? Would you buy it? Can it be done?

The problem is that I don't think Chris has the rights to *sell* the stuff on CP. I'm certain nothing like that is specified in the article submission process. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying 'burn away' if Chris wanted to, but I suspect demand would be low and workload high to bring it all together. Well I mentioned money just as a compensation for the effort - and I was thinking just that is useful to have it - well, for example, last year I was on the road, hotel connection was failing big time, I didn't have anything better to do, and then, I had something to do which I could faintly remember that solution was posted on CP. Then - boy I could realy use CP on CD! I didn't want to disturb anyone - I also hate "nice to have" features in my projects.:)

The CP articles are owned by their respective owners. Unlike MSDN Mag and other such mags, CP does not take ownership of articles. Thus I do not think a CD is legally possible. Unless Chris writes to the 500+ article submitters and gets their permission. Nish

If you have Adobe Acrobat (full version) there is an option that you can suck the whole web site into one .pdf file. Don't know how it would work here though with all this .asp stuff.

I don't know whether it's legal or not to produce or sell a copy of CP. I personally think it's a brilliant idea, but in the meantime I will recommend that you use a utitity as Teleport Pro (www.tenmax.com). It's a fairly priced utility and it works perfectly (for me anyway). I have used it personally to mirror CP as well as CodeGuru to my harddisk. It requires, however, that you have access to a fast internet connection.
