Dont you just hate it when your boss changes things without telling you? I have recently done a client that connects to a webservice to download some information into a database. yesterday one of the clients complains its not downloading anything so i have a look. It turns out my boss has been into the database and changed the field lengths. All the values he has set would seem reasonable except for one thing. When i get the values they are encrypted and stored encrypted so a 16 character CC number could be a lot more. He knows this. Its all documented so why change things? What a waste of a day finding and fixing this one. Its not like i dont have better things to do either. I am 2 1/2 weeks into my 4 weeks notice so i have a hell of a lot to do (for his benefit i might add). 7 days left. j

If your boss had any sense, your work load should be on drip and other people should be taking over your role, well he going to find out the hard way...

I would rather that as well but we are in the final stages of a really big project thats worth a lot to the company so i am trying to make sure all loose ends are well and truely tied up so i can say my last project was a total success. J

It might just be me, but I don't see that as being within your sphere of concern. And truth be told, regardless of how much work you've been assigned, you shuldn't be pulling in more than 8 hours per day anyway. You are, afterall, on your way out.

Presumably there is another job lined-up for you when your notice expires. In the meantime, your loyalty to your present employer should be ebbing away and your employer should be reducing your workload accordingly. However, as this is neither happening and that your employer hasn't chosen any replacement for you, this begs the question do you and/or your employer do not wish to part company. If that be the case, it sounds as though the situation is ripe for a re-negotiation of contract that should be to your primary benefit.

He probably wants to leave on a good note. No telling if him and his current employer may cross roads in the future.
