I'm running Outlook 2007. Or at least, I was. I went on this cruise, I was away for 10 days. I came home, everything ( apart from my main LCD ) was fine. Today, Outlook crashes every half hour or so, for a few hours. Then, finally, it crashes every time I run it. Then crashes when I try to run it in safe mode. Then the 'detect and repair' runs. And achieves nothing. Has anyone had this sort of problem ? I kind of need to get to my inbox....

Nope. Been using it since Beta 1. Love it. Looks like Outlook hates you, CG. ;P

Install any office updates? In my experience if you upgrade an office 2003 install and then install office 2003 updates from Windows Update, like the junk mail filler, it will mess up Outlook 2007. Ally or need todo is a repair instill and all should be well. Also note a repair install will leave all your contacts and mail intact.

It could be a corrupt mail profile. Outlook is no very tolerant of the mail profile having any quirks in it. If Outlook 2007 is anything like 2k3, XP or Outlook 97, then there will be a mail icon in the control panel. Create a new mail profile, give it the settings you gave it when Outlook was first set up, let it grab data from the mail server and see if that helps. If it did, import your pst files and kill your old profile. If it didn't, you might want to see if an old fashioned system restore might help.

I have no other version of office installed. I've tried the repair option.

Sounds like a GFX card hardware issue, possibly related. Have you tried the LCD on another PC?

Interestingly, I tried plugging the monitor into another of my graphics cards, and it never works at all. Nor do any other monitors if I swap where they are plugged in. I've not tried a replug/reboot yet.

That would be Outlook 2007 beta, right? I think I'll just stand back at a safe distance and watch the fun :D
