Frikkin' Thumbnail view

I don't know how they can possibly consider this a usability improvement.. Maybe if you only have one or two pictures in a directory. Anyhow, I'm using Word XP to insert a picture into a document. Every time the Insert Picture file section dialog appears, it is always in Thumbnail view. Since I have 30+ images in the directory, and since I name them sequentially, that means I have to keep scrolling down to the bottom of the list to get the picture that I want. ARGH! Anyone know how I can make the dialog default to the List view instead of that cursed Thumbnail view? Thanks, Jon Sagara There is no spoon. Best Miniputt score: 21 Sonork ID: 100.9999 jonsagara

There is a registry key called "Data" loacated at. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Common\Open Find\Microsoft Word\Settings\Insert Picture\View It is binary key so i dont have a clue how to change it. But that looks like it could be the answer. .NET or not .NET? MFC is the question......
