Data reverting back to old data.
-
I once developed an asp.net application that allowed users to update records in a grid. I put a save button at the bottem and saved every record in the grid all at once. Every once in a while a user would complain that all the records they saved reverted back to their old values. Silly me, I didn't put in any record locking. Other users in the same department would pull up a grid at the beginning of the day leave it up all day and save it before going home. They ended up over writing the work done by their coworkers. That is when I learned the value of record locking and session timeouts.
how vital enterprise application are for proactive organizations leveraging collective synergy to think outside the box and formulate their key objectives into a win-win game plan with a quality-driven approach that focuses on empowering key players to drive-up their core competencies and increase expectations with an all-around initiative to drive up the bottom-line. But of course, that's all a "high level" overview of things --thedailywtf 3/21/06
