I finally broke down and tossed my faithful SMC 802.11b wireless router and installed a spanking new Linksys 802.11n one. I cannot believe the difference. Good God. No matter where I go in my house I get "Signal Strength: Excellent," and I giggle when I see the "Speed: 162Mbps" status. Jeff, Chris, Jordon: your next visit will be *much* more pleasant.

What about your neighbors?;) I rely on my neighbors when my connection is down.

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it. -Brian Kernighan

You're joking, right? 162, as in 62 > than the max of a 10/100 hardwired lan connection? If that's the case, I've just got to get me one of these... :-D

If, after the next time I wander by your place your brand spanking new router seems a little slower than usual, and in fact has taken on an uncanny resemblence to our office router, then it wasn't me, OK?

            cheers, Chris Maunder

ah yes, the Maunder curse on consumer electronics. I promise not to take it personally (although as usual I will probably be quietly be amused)

If it slows down at all, don't worry, it's just me leeching off your powerful wireless signal. ;)
