Ooooh nice. Dual layer burning too. Other than that though nothing much changed. Glad I didn't wait. They are brilliant laptops. Thanks Miguel.

Woot! Plus a clock speed hike and a hard drive capacity upgrade and a (slight) price decrease (in the UK at least). Very tempted!

Really? I mean... seriously? Oh man, awesome! BTW bootcamp works very well. I had Battlefield 2142 blazing away last night in Windows XP on the Mac. That 256mb video card rocks and even my Core 1 Duo chip does well. Though for a scary hour I did think I had hosed my OS X partition. The damned laptop kept booting into Windows XP with no option to select OS X. Man, I had a whole days coding not checked-in on that partition. Then I found out you have to press the OPTION key during boot to choose OS X. :-O Thankfully there is a setting in System Prefs where you can say which to boot into.

Absolutely. If they are in stores tomorrow then I will physically pick one up.

                cheers, Chris Maunder

It's very hard to justify when I've got an iBook anyway...but having seen a blog post today about using Visual Studio on a MacBook Pro with Parallels, maybe I can persuade work that my next development machine should be shiny and well designed :-)
