I'm trying to establish demonstrate the fact that I am the smartest person on this message board. So, how many of you other regulars have PhD's, or is it just me (thereby making me the smartest here)? :-D

As long as the specialist doesn't run into any situations outside his specialty, he would be better than an universalist. However, life doesn't tend to work that way ... and what is the percentage of people who have jobs in areas outside of the field they earned their degree in?

I used to design particle accelerators for cancer therapy. I don't miss that work as the clinical environment was very depressing, particularly the sick children.

I have a PhD, but so what? I'm prouder of other things I've achieved in my life.

I'm so smart, no titles are worthy enough to be written next to my name. That's seriously smart! (I wish I could have the Master's degree revoked - it's a stupid stain on my resume! :mad:)
