I'm trying to establish demonstrate the fact that I am the smartest person on this message board. So, how many of you other regulars have PhD's, or is it just me (thereby making me the smartest here)? :-D

I used to design particle accelerators for cancer therapy. I don't miss that work as the clinical environment was very depressing, particularly the sick children.

Not since high school ... and as I recall, I didn't really care for it much when I read it then.

It's a tongue-in-cheek thread. I'm just trying to change to mood of the Soapbox. You are free to return to the regularly scheduled program of conservative politics, anti-Islam, bigotry and general nonsense if you like.

If you were really as smart as you say, then you would know that there is always someone smarter, stronger, or better looking than you. Sorry, but a PhD won't teach you that. (dummy)

But I am as smart as I say, and thus nobody is as smart, strong or handsome as me. I am the ultimate! This thread proves it. I even have groupies!

Since my smartness approaches infinity (I like pushing the envelope..), you quickly realize that such first impressions don't give me enough credit. On the other hand, it's a good thing people don't even try to realize how smart I am. It is along such lines of thinking religions are born (trying to understand the incomprehensible). I couldn't bear all the nagging from all pathetic humans wanting me to perform miracles for them...

My God! You have the same problems that I do! Existence like this is extremely difficult, isn't it? It's so taxing being a genius amongst the company of dullards... :sigh:

Not since high school ... and as I recall, I didn't really care for it much when I read it then.

Me neither, but I can still remember lame little excerpts, making me smarter than you.

However, life doesn't tend to work that way ... and what is the percentage of people who have jobs in areas outside of the field they earned their degree in?

I am employed outside of the field I earned my degree in.
