Yesterday, I wrote a post on the lounge which went like: "Indians..... .........have invaded the codeproject Lounge" I got more than 4, 1's and my post was called "irrelevant" and there were many other comments. I could not imagine that it could cause so many ill feelings. Today I cant find it in the Lounge. To be frank it was just a joke. I mean there were so many Indians coming with irrelevant posts. So, “Invade” was used as a superlative degree of “disturbing.” But, I could not have imagined that it would cause so much of an uproar. Though there were a few replies that took it in the sense I really meant it. But since the post was deleted; it makes me feel that the whole world found it offensive. I wrote this to apologize if I were inappropriate.

Now I really need to appreciate you for this. It was not the whole post, but the term "Indians" which I would say is certainly inappropriate. Usage of wrong terms at the wrong place. Now cheer up buddy! ;)

        Respect.

Arthur Dent - "That would explain it. All my life I've had this strange feeling that there's something big and sinister going on in the world." Slartibartfast - "No. That's perfectly normal paranoia. Everybody in the universe gets that." Deja View - the feeling that you've seen this post before.

How is 'Indians' inappropriate or offensive?

Truth is the subjection of reality to an individuals perception

Because he must speak for himself and not for Indians. Perhaps you did not read his yesterdays post.

But if I said, 'The French are invading the lounge' because there were a number of posts in French, and I am English, that would be offensive to a Frenchman, nor would any offdense have been meant.
