It's idiots like this who give the region I live in a bad name. Either his boss threatened to put a firework up his ... or, as has been suggested in a local paper today, he thought it was B*mfire night.

Ah now Bishop's a canny place. My brother lives just round the corner in Aycliffe. Isn't it great how you'll always find a north-easterner where ever you go. (Always smiling, always ready for a drink):-D

Aye, go on then. I'm in Birmingham though, and am about to ove up to Chester, so I don't plan on going down to Bournemouth any time soon. But if you are ever in Chester...

Chester near Manchester or Chester le Street?:-D A few years ago, the Magistrates Court in Chester le Street were waiting for a prisoner to turn up from Durham prison (a distance of about 4 miles). After two hours, the prisoner hadn't turned up so the court clerks got onto a well known prisoner transport company (the one between Group 3 and Group 5;)) to find out where he was. It turned out that they were just outside Manchester and going strong.

Nah, it's reet easy bonnie lad. Yer jus havta nar hoo ta pranuns yer vowls thar pet. As an example: Areet - pronounced Aah reet. Means OK or all right. Boat - prounounced burt. A sea faring vessel. Absolutely, you wouldn't want anyone to think you felt cold like some sort of soft southerner! To be honest, you only feel cold on the way to the pub. After a few pints you do stop noticing it.
