Vista is not a clone of Max OsX?

A (mac using) friend just passed me this amusing video[^] that proves that Vista isn't a copy of OsX. :) I thought I'd share. ChrisB

I just don't care who copied who. I just want to have nice features. Videos like that are just the proof that, as usual, there are too many guys with too much free time.

While I do finde OS X superior to Vista I find the video not very funny.
"When you have made evil the means of survival, do not expect men to remain good. Do not expect them to stay moral and lose their lives for the purpose of becoming the fodder of the immoral. Do not expect them to produce, when production is punished and looting rewarded. Do not ask, `Who is destroying the world?' You are."

Can't watch this at the moment as videos are blocked in the office. But in IT everyone copies off everyone else. Mac has also copied from Windows in some areas.

The "Spotlight" thing is dumb since there was a program in the early 90s that did the same thing--I don't recall the name though. (The reason I use folders is because I rarely remember the name for files anyway, but I do know the logic of my organizing system.) The other problem is that Microsoft was showing pre-prototype concepts that are used in Vista in the late 90s! In 2002, they even showed a video of many of the concepts that were later used in both OSX and Vista. Yes, there was some borrowing, but designers for both were exploring many of these ideas long before then. (Besides Microsoft and Mac do a much better job ripping each other off than Sun and Linux does ripping of the former two--ever see the taskbar in Solaris?)
