Need help with recording Audio.

Is there a software that can help me record audio from a youtube video? I've seen it before, it records only the audio and not the video but I don't remember what it is called. I'm using the Windows Platform. Thank you.

TRY AUDACITY it's free and simple. If you need more power try COOL EDIT (COOL EDIT went thru many upgrades from Cool Edit 95 to Cool Edit 2000 to Cool Edit Pro to Cool edit 2.1 ADOBE NO LONGER SUPPORTS THESE VERSIONS AND COULD BE CONSIDERED ABANDONWARE), (you may be able to find a dnld link on internet) Adobe bought the parent company of COOL EDIT it is now called ADOBE AUDITION it's NOT FREE BUT VERY POWERFUL, (not as simple as original COOL EDIT. LASTLY, an inexpensive but powerful option is n-Track Studio. 16 bit version is $59 and you can download a trial version. VERY POWERFUL and can create virtually unlimited number of tracks, supports MIDI VST and Direct X plugins. Audacity doesn't have very good quality, tried to convert two video files to mp3 but it sounds like a scratched cd :((

I may be mistaken, but you can use sound recorder. If your card has a "What you hear" option on the recording pain, select it as your recording source. This should work.
