Still living in the past?

I've actually surprised myself at not yet having accidentally written the current year as '06 anywhere. Must be all the caffeine keeping me at full alert. How are the rest of you doing? Or still writing 2004 when you make out checks? :rose: p.s. Hey, Chris! Take a look at the footer on this site's pages: Copyright © CodeProject, 1999-2006.

Cheques, wow, those were the days ;-) fortunately these days the chip and pin machine knows the date so I don't have to. Russell

Well... I am also yet to write something, always type but never write these days.. [Add] So that date is added by the computer itself for me [/Add] Once I wrote something some time ago, I suddenly realized that my hand writing has changed a lot too. I don't know how that is happening.. -- modified at 3:36 Thursday 4th January, 2007

My first fun with dates this year was with the default version format string in the microsoft assemblyinfo msbuild task - 'yymmdd'. Guess what happens when you try to cram that into a small int.

Absolutely. I got three Iron Maiden singles in the mail today, a DVD, a CD, and a picture disc. I don't have a record player, the picture disc goes on the wall.

Ah, the Y2k7 bug[^]. Ironic, really, as they only came up with that scheme in 2005!

Actually I'm rather living in the future than in the past. I create folders for the sites that I am deploying, and naming them with the date. I have not yet this year given any folder a date in 2006, but I named one 2007-02-01 instead of 2007-01-02. :)
