Anyone watch <<Prince Of Tennis>>?

The cartoon isn't the patent of children. Has anyone like this cartoon?

It's anime, apparently[^]
What's the means of the word "anime"? And what means of the norm.net's reply?

It's ok, though I find it falls into the same pattern as Yu-Gi-Oh and Hiraku-no-Go. At least it avoids some of the goofball characters that appear in a number of anime as "comic" relief... :-D I usually prefer anime like Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex or Fullmetal Alchemist. Even though Fullmetal (on the surface) seems to be pretty goofy, the storyline is pretty intense. And it's nice that the series flows directly into the movie. For pure action, I prefer things like Star Blazers or Robotech. I watched pretty much every episode of Dragonball Z and found they could have condensed the series to about half of what it was by cutting the five minutes of reaction shots and the twenty minute transformation sequences. How long did it take Freiza to transform on Namek? And why did everyone stand around with their mouths hanging open? Why didn't Krillen pick up one of the spent Dragonballs and chuck it at Freiza's head while he was taking forever to power up? X| Flynn -- what? me watch anime? :D

I can't understand many words in your reply. And most of them can't be found from my translate tool and my E-dictionary. Why?

Anime is a term used by much of the world to describe Japanese animation. It also happens to be one of my favorite forms of animation since shows can be about anything between the silly (Bo-Bo-Bo Bo Bo-Bo-Bo or Super Milk Chan) to completely serious (Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex). My favorites tend to be science fiction or fantasy Anime such as Robotech or Fullmetal Alchemist. I don't necessarily know the Japanese names for these shows. My comment about Prince of Tennis being similar in style to Yu-Gi-Oh is mostly due to the tendacy of both shows to build a match up to a climax where the character is sure to lose, only to pull some trick within the rules of the game to triumph. Yu-Gi-Oh is particularly bad about this as it tends to draw out matches over three to five 30 minute episodes. After a few of those types of shows it tends to get a little boring. :) Flynn -- hope that helps a little
