"In August of 2005 the United States Congress passed the Energy Policy Act, which changes the dates of both the start and end of daylight saving time (DST). When this law goes into effect in 2007, DST will start three weeks earlier (2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in March) and will end one week later (2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November) than what had traditionally occurred." "While the change in daylight saving time applies to U.S. and Canada, the change may impact customers based outside North America" http://www.microsoft.com/windows/timezone/dst2007.mspx[^]

It's only when you look at an ant through a magnifying glass on a sunny day that you realise how often they burst into flames.

Daylight Savings Time is evil and should be abolished.

If we're posting stock rant summaries... Daylight savings is backwards and should move sunrise/sunset to later in the day during the winter.

-- Rules of thumb should not be taken for the whole hand.

Hmmm... Sorry about that. I did do a search first in "Lounge" and there were no results.

Since there is a shorter amount of sunlight in the winter, kids would be going to school in the dark.
