Valentine’s Day

Is that because of work?

You mean because I love work so much ? Truth is, I work from home, I don't 'come home' at all.

I work from home occasionally and that tends to be the only times my wife wants my undivided attention. Ill start hacking away for ten mins or so and then bam... she wants to talk. REPEAT!! This is probably the reason why I am still at work now, well besides trying to finish some code for an alpha demo I have today. Give me a couple of band aids and I can make it work (marriage and unfinished code!). Aaron

Two weeks from now, at the February 14, valentine’s day. The question here is what are you going to get for your beloved ones (girlfriends, wives, boyfriends, husbands, ….)? I don’t know yet what to get so I posted this question to get some ideas. Best regards.:rose:
Is there any way we can celebrate it alone? :~ Yup I'm single once again :sigh:.. but this is cool. It was sweet only for few months, later I realised I'm too lazy. I couldn't cope up with. I broke it off! pressed the rescue-eject button and now enjoying a cool , lazy, no-commitment life
Code-Frog:So if this is Pumpkinhead. Time for him to run and hide. It's an interesting thought really.

If Donna didn't work, I would rent an office somewhere.

Which one is a typo, "Two weeks" or "march" ? I am a hermit. I don't have beloved ones. I might get that fat mouse in my cave some cheese. :~

Nothing, don't believe in this shite (Valentine's Day). Started here (Austria) some years ago as an evil plot of jewelers and florists. I showed my beloved ones my love by not stepping into the present lunacy.
All the label says is that this stuff contains chemicals "... known to the State of California to cause cancer in rats and low-income test subjects."

I think evil Indian jewellers, gift shop owners, florists, RJs/VJs and hoteliers joined the plot around the same time. X| I show my beloved ones my love whenever I can; not when a bunch of business people from a different culture think I should.
Fully expecting to get flamed for this post...
Cheers, Vikram.

OK, so it's commercialised to within an inch of its life, and yeah, there's all sorts of pressure surrounding it, and yes we should treat our loved ones as if every day were Valentine's Day blah blah blah. But what's wrong with having a little "today we can be shamelessly romantic" day? I love seeing flowers being delivered all over the city, and at the end of the day seeing the objects of affection carrying those flowers on the bus or train (and the little embarrassed smiles that are passed around by the passengers). I love hearing about people's plans for the evening, or seeing cards on desks, seeing restaurants full of couples spending an evening together where they aren't working or draining their brain in front of the TV. And I even love (for about an hour) seeing cutesy, cheesy little teddybears holding hearts or flowers or something else sacharine. I just like seeing people being nice to each other instead of having that permanent scowl or frown that I see in the city every day.
cheers, Chris Maunder

They are scowling *because* they are in the city. It's not like they look like that at home. Unless they live in the city.

Hi dear, I wont buy anything for her, because its not for only one. Its for both, so I will take her out. I will allow her to share all her problems with me and ask for any new things that should be changed in my personality(means every thing, even I will ask her whether I need to change anything in my personality). I just give a flower or bouque to her. And then I will share all my love with her on that day. And I will try to OK all her requests on that day(only good requests). And do some personal which I cant tell you. How is it?. OK.

I think you are so cared. Are you male or Female. If Female then that "her" position is vacant. Do you like it. If so reply me fast. Because a lot of applications are there. And last date is also, very nearer. Bye. Take care. -- modified at 6:06 Wednesday 31st January, 2007
