I watched the movie last night. Firstly, Julia Roberts was simply amazing. Now that that's out of the way ... let's get to the movie itself. The director shows certain scientific (not only gadgets) advances in this 1994 movie that really amazes me. He shows how assasins are "made" from common people ... how that technology is stolen ... black helicopters (one's that are silent) etc. What I really got out of the movie is that Hollywood has played a major role in making the United States a super power. I am not saying it is a bad thing etc. I am just saying that artists can find various ways to play mind games and convince us. I dont' think any of those technologies really exist. Do you ?

Hmmm. A super joke perhaps, but "power"? Not sure how you got there from here. Marc

Sort of - there are helicopters that are supposed to be "quiet" that the military uses. But it's not magic - you can still hear them, it's just that they are supposed to be a lot quieter than normal helicopters.

There was a program at the CIA (the movie references it) called MKULTRA - look it up. How much was actually done is up to anyone, but they *supposedly* investigated mind control with and without drugs, and other such fun stuff. An air force volunteer in the program ended up killing himself (he jumped out of his building) and the program was canceled shortly thereafter (if I recall correctly). There are *all* sorts of crazy theories about what went on in the program, and it's difficult to sort out fact from fiction.

Mind control without drugs is not a theory, it's a fact ... just look at what Microsoft has done to all of us ... :~

quiet helicopters? you bet... quiet enough so that they can reach out and touch you before you even know they are there. My son says the scariest thing he's ever done is stand guard at his base. At 2am, the Apaches will come onto the firing range for live fire exercises... you just hope they're shooting at the right targets.... And yes, be afraid, be very afraid.... bwahahahahaaha :)

Charlie Gilley Will program for food... Whoever said children were cheaper by the dozen... lied. My son's PDA is an M249 SAW. My other son commutes in an M1A2 Abrams

Ok .. let's say they do have "quiet" helicopters but sound is not the only issue here ... what about all the wind that comes with it ... how does one hide that ?

While they look like ordinary helicopters for camouflage they're actually kept airborne using antigravity devices reverse engineered from the Roswell UFO. :-D
