Develop 1.1 ASP.Net applications in VS2005
-
Hi, I it possible to develop .Net 1.1 web application in VS2005. I don't want to convert them into the VS2005 format. I currently face the problem of keeping two IDEs installed for the same platform.

So does everyone else. But most developers' PCs should be able to handle it. Going forward though, the situation will improve. I was at a Microsoft presentation today and Scott Guthrie says VS 2007 will be able to target .NET 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 and available project templates, intellisense, etc. will change to suit. But you'll still need VS 2003 for .NET 1.1. It's just that you won't need to have VS 2005 installed. Oh, and unit testing will be rolled into VS 2007 Pro. You won't need team system. I guessed they would do that. But maybe the NUnit guys won't be happy!

Well then, I guess you're stuck with two IDEs. My advice is to re-factor it into 2.0 so that when the next compiler comes out, you're not stuck with three compilers on your system.
