I used to be the same, thinking "how on earth can extra clutter be useful to me?" Then I got dual 24" monitors, and decided to give the Vista sidebar a try instead of turning it off straight after installation. After adding a BBC Radio player into it I now love it - the first thing I do every morning is turn the radio on by clicking the play button. I also have the default round clock, and a gadget that shows a random photo from flickr with the current date in it. It is great for simple one-use things that don't justify having an entire application of their own.

Well if I was being mean, I could say that I have three... but the third is connected to a different computer. For once, less actually is better. ;P
