Sorry, but I'd probably try to join you. I did it for a while when I was in high school. I definitely have some fond memories.

In the UK we read this as you only wear under pants to work? I now have this vision of someone sitting at thier cubicle in the shirt and tie and under pants!!

If you call moving to a Caribbean island Misery you must have it pretty sweet where you are. :-D

Oh, OK. Thoughts of achieving that are what keep me working, when I have long days to get through. I still love programming, but if I have to do a stretch of 14-16 hour days, I start to wish I was doing something else, for at least some of the day.

Wanna do a house swap for a month? 25-30 degrees and sunny day in day out here at the moment

System.IO.Path.IsPathRooted() does not behave as I would expect

Oh, nice. This is why I never go anyplace nice :P Actually, my wife is threatening a family holiday later in the year. I was supposed to visit the Amazon in two weeks, but it fell apart due to time problems. That would have been cool, I hope to still do it, sometime.

It was the most incredible 8 days of my life. My wife and I have been very depressed since coming back. We're going to sell cookies door-to-door if we have to but we are going back. We decided we need a vacation more often than every 12 years...

Forgot to tell you Jamaica is directly south of Florida so it's in the same weather/seasons as the U.S. for the most part. So December is the *very* off-season time to go there. The tourist season is March thru September.
