they said it was coming and they were right. they picked up the trash today and I think the cans are now about three blocks away. Almost all schools in south eastern SD and northwestern IA are closed. Parts of the interstate are closed. Supposed to last until tomorrow night. YUCK.

It is a blizzard here in MPLS as well. We got like a foot of snow over the weekend and will probably get another foot with this storm. Ben

It's an onslaught of snow up here in Minnesota. This just after having that nasty storm a week or two ago. By the end of it, I heard we're supposed to have something like 22 inches here. X|

Tell me about it, we got snow overnight...snow in March!!! On an island in the pacific ocean. It was 10 degrees c below zero last night. This is freaking unbelievable weather. No word of a lie, we should be getting the lawn mowers out about now. A little south of here they should be sweeping cherry tree blossoms off the cars in the morning about now. This is ridiculous.

Tons of flights into Toronto have been cancelled because of the ice storm that's expected in a few hours. Wusses!

            cheers, Chris Maunder

Premix the cocktails and set them on the porch. Then light a cozy fire, make some tasty snacks, sit back and wait for the storm. When there's nothing you can do about it, you might as well enjoy the unavoidable.:-D

There is a carpark out the back of our office that is now empty since all the Canadians have run home scared. I've just got a little more work to do then I'll head out there with my subaru and do some 4-wheel circle work. An Australian in the snow armed with a car is a dangerous thing. Vroom!

At least you are not getting the snow that parts of NY did back in February. They were getting it at about a rate of 3 inches an hour for over 100 inches in about 4 days. http://www.cnn.com/2007/WEATHER/02/08/cold.weather.ap/index.html[^]

when the people who know how to drive in bad weather are in full bugout boogie mode that should tell you something. Whatever you're working on **is not** important enough to risk your estate cashing in your life insurance policy after you have a fatal accident on the ice covered roads!!!!!!!

Yeah I agree. I'm a former rally driver and I know how to deal with low-traction situations, but my RX-7 is worthless in the snow and I know better than to risk it. Anything I can do today I can do tomorrow, or today at home.
