This problem came to my hands today, does someone knows the answer? The following fictitious compound is primarily made up of the following elements. Two large components have been omitted. What percentage does the compound have of Gold and Silver?
Al = 22% Fe = 2%
Sn = 10% Ag = ?
Pt = 8% Au = ?I don't know the answer, but I bet there is a relation between the % and the atomic number or atomic weight, so don't ask me. :) Some chemical engineer araound?

I'm no chemical engineer but I'm guessing that either gold or silver cant bind to the other elements and will be 58%

Yes, gold and silver togheter take the 58% left, the problem is to discover how much porcent of gold and how much procent of silver. There is about 57 possible answers and only one is the correct, but I can't find the pattern yet.

I think you are mistaken, this is not about the table of elements, it is about the Australian (Au) and Argentinian (Ag) beer consumption (as a percentage of the global beer intake). The answer is: Ag = 0.00002% Au = 57.99998%
