Anyone else had this happen twice - the first time being about a week ago, and the second time today? On the second time it complained of an error but then after OKing proceeded until the end. I assume this must be a bug in the auto-update service or there was a bug in the original 2.0.0.2 update and they didn't increment the version number.

It happened to me a while ago, but I assumed it was a problem with Vista UAC.

FF's auto-update actually worked for you? It has literally never worked for me.

My thunderbird has been auto updating then the next time I run it saying that it needs the update over and over for the last three days. I thought it was a vista problem with the autoupdater.

What typically goes wrong? I've had no problems until now. But still everything seems to be working normally.

It starts downloading the patch and never finishes.

Huh. That's weird. I get my nightly updates via the auto-update system. It works nearly all the time for me.
