The most interesting about Cricket seems to be it's tea times and the length of the game. But I must say I've never seen a cricket game. When we see a glimt on tv in sweden it's usually because some kind of animal has occupied the court. :) 1: Football (soccer), 2: Football (soccer), 3: perhaps Volleyball

How can you hate a sport? Dislike sure, find uninteresting, yes, but hate? I find soccer to be dull and uninteresting but I don't hate it.

Ok, hate was a bit too harsh, just trying to emphasize my point and for football, yes I share the same opinion as yourself.

Oh man that was great. A draw is rare enough but the tumble at the end was just thrilling.

Did you get to see it? I know Ireland was playing but I though they had laws against cricket over there :-D That match is probably going to be one of the top matches this World cup. It's only the 3rd time there was a draw (the other two being our two mess-ups) in World cup cricket. Heart stopping stuff, go Ireland!

The good things about cricket: - it seems to be a real funny sport, whose games can last more than a day. - it made me discover some countries I did even know the existence (indeed, cricket thread always start with "Have you seen the game Swafilia vs. Guandogonlia yesterday ? Awesome !) The bad thing about cricket is : - Lounge threads about cricket are, with those from Link2006, the only threads for which I cannot even start to understand the single word about. - Threads about crickets often tend after a few posts to finish in Swafilian or Guandogonlian, which makes it even harder to start and understand what they are bout. So I am definitely a great fan of cricket, especially in the lounge :-D

Cricket must be an acquired taste, something you had to grow up with. From my perspective here in Canada, cricket is just about the most incomprehensible sport in the world. From watching brief clips of it on BBC world news (which one must assume are the exciting bits) I am bored instantly. I'm sure I would feel differently if I watched it live in a stadium with friends in India or England or Australia or wherever, but I'd rather watch just about anything else (except golf). Ice Hockey is where it's at in this country and we are nearing the playoffs and my team is in, so I fully understand everyone's excitement here over cricket, I just don't get the sport at all.:)

I guess so. And I guess it helps if you've actually played the game.

If there's one sport I actively avoid watching, that's golf :)
