This morning as i tried to access the internet i found that i was unable to connect and i couldn't figure out why.:doh: I am using Norton internet security 2007, so i ran a virus scan which found nothing, so then i tried running liveupdate on norton and guess what it managed to download the updates it needed (Even though i couldn't access the internet, so i was thinking what the f**k:wtf:). So i ran a virus scan again and it still found nothing. I then opened up taskmanager and looked at the programs running didn't see anything unusual, closed it then ran regedit and looked at the values for startup didn't see anything, then i launched winpatrol and it didn't have anything new added in the hidden files or any extra startup entries so i safely decided that it wasn't a virus because I am very careful in what i download or run on my computer. So i switched off my computer left it for a while and then i had a brainwave so i turned on my computer again. I opened up norton and had a look at the firewall settings and i was right for some reason norton decided to block internet explorer from accessing the internet so i changed the setting to allow and now i can access the internet again yeh!!!;););) I am extremely relieved that it wasn't anything more. Note: I didn't even change the firewall settings to block internet explorer. Has anyone else had a problem like this before?

Most likely when Norton prompted you about it you accidently hit no or something along those lines.

Surely IE is the badly written virus? I used to hate Norton, after reading this article I like it :-)
