I managed to get my desktop and start menu back to the old way. I cant seem to figure out to get search back to the old search box. It trys to connect to the internet every time. (This really pisses me off). I dont want to pull up a whole browser window just do do a quick file search. No, not everyone likes a web ui integration... you get no extra points for the lame dog either. Mark A

From the 'Search results' window, click on 'Change preferences'set as many options as you could on 'Advanced' Also, make sure you turn off indexing service. It trashes your hard disk, trying to make it go 'faster'. Jeremy. "Hey man, Taliban, Tali me Banana."

Don't quote me on this, but I believe there's an option in the Group Policy editor to go back to the old 2K style search. Start->Run->gpedit.msc --Mike-- Buy me stuff! (Link fixed now) Like the Google toolbar? Then check out UltraBar, with more features & customizable search engines! My really out-of-date homepage Big fan of Alyson Hannigan and Jamie Salé. Get TweakUI XP - it's on the Explorer panel. You can download TweakUI from somewhere @ Microsoft, can't remember where. -- Andrew.
