Antivirus update problem

Hi all, When I want to update my McAfee antivirus , then a error occured as follow:- Failed to initialize comman updater subsystem.make sure the McAfee framework service is running.McAfee framework returned error ffff@3. Plz sugess me how solve this problem. thanks for this.

Panel-->Administrative tools-->Services-->McAfee Framework Serviceand start the service.Prasad Notifier using ATL | Operator new[],delete[][^]

COnsult McAfee technical support. Alternatively, uninstall it and try a different anti-virus package - I use Grisoft's AVG.
