Its all fine and dandy, and many people are looking forward to Internet2, im sure..until it comes to Internet prociders that is. Yeah, we here in Canada/US are used to highspeeds for small^ prices, but can you imagine what ISPs will start charging for Internet2? It'll be at least a 5-fold increase in price, im sure. They'd jsut put it out as something extraordinary they can do for you, when it will /really/ run over the same connections, and they will upgrade all their hardware either way. ^Well, small enough. Sure, Im paying for a 2MB cable connection, but i hardly get that, and upload is worse yet. But its better than those on phone modems, so I guess we're paying a small price.

I can't always be wrong ... or can I?Apparently Telkom will soon be introducing IPTV, at R320 p/m. A recent news item I can't findand now highlighted that this implies broadband internet, and at that price will cause a serious shake-up.

I can't always be wrong ... or can I?Yeah but SA's market is all screwed up thanks to Telkom's position. Other markets aren't quite so uncompetitive.
