HI all.. A small help 4m u ppl... I know how to build exe's for a Vb.net application.My doubt is how to add shortcut to the desktop atomatically . I saw on Userdesktop Option ..but I dont know how to use it ... pls help me ..its urgent.. Thanks in advance Bino Varghese

sorry Arun I think i was not too specific....saw ur reference mail... let me explain u clearly now..... with the help of setup project wizard I have created an Exe ..it is working fine... The problem with this exe is, I always want to go to my Programfiles and set a shortcut to the desktop... there is an option User's Desktop how to use this??/ plz help me in this ....Im scratching my head 4m morning ....

The setup project in visual studio 2005 allows you to do this, google it. If you don't have visual studio 2005, then click once is pretty much only option other then 3rd party deployment software.

if you use Setup And Deployment Wizard to make your setup project then In the File System Window you will find a
User's Desktopfolder underFile System on Target Machine. 1.Click it. 2.On the righthand Pane Right click > then click onCreate New ShortcutA shortcut will appear....Rename it...You may set an Icon for it also......Tirtha Miles to go before I sleep
