XML into DB webservice

Hello all, I'm sure this is a walk in the park for all you experts out there. I'm very new to VB.net coming from a VBA background. I have the job of opening a XML file when it is recieved by a web service adding it's data to a database. I believe I must use a dataset and compare the file to a XML schema. If anyone can help I would be very grateful as I'm making little progress myself :( Thanks in advance -ukfrosty
