It is because they have the right to do it. It just takes three votes. That is by design. In a thousand posts, if one or two are marked such way, I guess there must something wrong with it. If your consecutive posts are marked as spam and tossed out, I guess it is because you are provoking to do them so by posting the "same" stuff again. Please do remember that this is a public forum. There's a Suggestions and Bug-Reports forum for that, and as you've made a claim to a reasonable level of education and intelligence in the past you're certainly not going to ingratiate anyone by continuing to act like an ignorant Troll. As others have said, please stop spamming these boards, and please stop treating them as your personal blog and plain english soapbox.

Did you know that you are a guerilla marketing disaster? You are not sensible in the way you promote your product (your choice), but you are also disrespectful towards your potention customers by rubbing it in EVERY SINGLE TIME without giving them a chance to actually try your software. You want customers? Don't scare them off with your crazy posting behaviour. Oh, and OT: No, your post most certainly was: "Hey, look! Here's some pretty pictures! ***** plain english ***** best paradigm ***** plain english ***** great number of customers ***** plain english ***** cheap ***** plain english ***** dirty magazine ***** plain english ***** christ ***** continue for 2 pages ****************"

Cheers, Sebastian -- Ceterum censeo, borlandem esse delendam.

I didn't really read your posts, but on the whole, I agree that's it's a shame you're being voted down blindly by some people. However, have you ever considered that you might, in some way, be responsible for driving these individuals up the wall?

              Cheers, Vıkram.

I am not one of those individuals who voted his message as spam or abuse. But he of course posted the stuff repeatedly and he probably drove so many others too, up the wall.

I had a discussion with Chris at the suggestions forum once. Also, just three votes to mark a post as spam is too less. Or that power must be given to platinum members, or MVPs or protectors. The abuse feature is one of the most abused things. This has been told by PJ Arends, so many times.

oh yes... malcontents.... anyone actually following forum guidelines would be considered that. You have received 5's for posts NOT advertising in the forums, when you violate the forum guidelines and attempt free advertising (Which Chris has told you about, we have told you about, ad nauseam), your post gets removed (big surprise). And you complain. Because the rules should change to allow you free advertising above all others. You should be the exception. You were told, pay for advertising, you did and didn't get anyone to follow you, so you come back trying to save money by advertising for free. And complaining when it is removed. So I will spell it out for you, yet again: Stop advertising your product. When you do, it will be marked spam, when you don't your post will remain. Stop violating the rules of the forum and your post will remain. I understand your confusion, Plain English is such a confusing language. But perhaps you can ponder it for a year or two and figure out something from that. but I doubt it.

Mate, I'm far more lenient than a lot of people here, but even I think "Waaah, somebody voted my post down :(( so I'll post it again" is inappropriate. :| This is reminiscent of what Ilion did a few months back in the SB before he was kicked out. [EDIT]Oooh, a drive-by 1 vote. Must be the same guy who voted Negus' post a 5. Looks like your proselytization is working, Master.[/EDIT] -- modified at 4:00 Tuesday 8th May, 2007

This crap better not spread to "The Lounge". We almost lost "The Soapbox" altogether because of Ilion.
