We Hate Us

Let's see if I can find any posts where you describe "leftists" who said what Ron Paul did as merely expressing a difference of opinion.
I doubt I said anything on Ron Paul. Actualy, except for his stance on intervention I agree with an awful lot of his views.

AN I was pulling your chain, mostly. I really wanted to highlight the difference in approaches of FNC v. MSNBC.
Mike The NYT - my leftist brochure. Calling an illegal alien an “undocumented immigrant” is like calling a drug dealer an “unlicensed pharmacist”. God doesn't believe in atheists, therefore they don't exist.

Not on Ron himself, but on a lib who used similar words. What was your opinion when Bill Maher or Michael Moore said our interventionism in foreign lands contributed to the 9/11 attack? Was it just a differing opinion when Bill and Mike said it?

I don't agree and probably don't disagree. My opinion is it isn't material. As a world power you are obligated to to do some level of intervention as protection for allies and as premption. I don't for a minute believe 9-11 is a response to any intevention, but rather a function of an Islamic desire to cow a world power with (their view) a degenerate society.

We built a base but haven't intervened in Saudi affairs.

possibly. if what I read is corect, he's pissed about non-Muslims in Muslim land. I suspect that extends to Shiites as well.

Rudy will be our next president.
The reality is that it probably will happen (IMHO). The following may be sexist and racist, but this is how I see it: People are now wanting to vote for any viable Democratic Party candidate, but if the democrats don't come up with a viable ticket, they will lose decisively. At the beginning of the year, we had a Super Bowl with 2 African-American coaches. It was made up as a historical event. How do we go from having 2 coaches of color to the first African-American President. I don't think the country is ready for it. Secondly, history repeats itself. Remember Geraldine Ferraro? Remember that ticket? The final tally was a 49 states to 1 blowout. Stop with the gimmick ticket, and come up with a viable Presidential Candidate, or lose an election that is almost being handed to them.
