Probably the Meat Puppets' "Plateau" (YouTube[^]|Lyrics[^]) Um, it probably reflects a certain aspect of US culture that i find appealing. Or maybe i just like the beat.

Not my absolute favourite - but definitely up there.

This is not the same kind of "Band A is better than Band B" thread that a certain "moron with a passion" has posted a while back, but instead just a poll, to see something of a cross-section of community's tastes in a way that last.fm can not provide, since there a frequent listener carries more "weight" in the weekly tally. Just post the band name, the song and a few words on why, lyrics if relevant. Mine: DEVO - Planet Earth Watch on YouTube[^] Lyrics[^] ...reflects a certain aspect of US culture very precisely...it's a snapshot of what i see every day, of what frustrates me to a degree...it's a very good definition what what i feel. And the sound is good, in terms of vocals as well as the synthesizer. Roswell

Probably Danger Bird - Neil Young and Crazy Horse[^] - not the lyrics, more the plaintive sound of the band and Neil's guitar work.

No way I could pick a song, but the MOP album is, without a doubt, my all time favourite. I am in good company, it was overwhelmingly voted the best heavy metal album of all time.

Christian Graus - Microsoft MVP - C++ Metal Musings - Rex and my new metal blog "I am working on a project that will convert a FORTRAN code to corresponding C++ code.I am not aware of FORTRAN syntax" ( spotted in the C++/CLI forum )

That has the Orion instrumental, doesn't it? Beautiful! Magnificent!

I'm not sure if you're trolling, or just deluded. I'll play along tho. There's no such thing as devil music, and, if there was, Metallica is definately not it.

          Deicide would come closer.

I have a live performance DVD where she sings that song. Beautiful music, beautiful voice. :) The disc is called One Night in Eden. It was recorded in South Africa in 1999. Flynn
