UI is invincibly cool. However administration, security and maintenance might be tricky if not systematic and defined processes are adopted.:)

Me. Had Ubuntu (6.something) for a week, and packed it in, amid having to use my XP install disk to format the drive and reclaim it, since diskpart wouldn't mount it. I'll give you that Windows requires patience and intelligence to get used to, and that Ubuntu is certainly user friendly, but I'm not a spoon - XP is better for me. 7 years of using it, steadily improving in knowledge of shortcuts and tricks and general behaviour isn't going to evaporate because some open source program seems better than XP. Maybe it is, but I don't get hacked or get viruses and all my spyware is dealt with. Perhaps though, I'm the only person in the world whose XP installation works. Although, once the year 2000 and never arrives and I'm forced to upgrade to Vista, I'll have Linux as a dual boot or something. Vista is never going to win me over unless I hack it and delete all of the code lines that go: // treble check user wishes to execute the action: // send masses of program data to UAC to confirm
