I hate them. They are too big for mp3s, and the screen is too small to watch anything.

I got the old Creative MuVo 100. It is small (just about the right size for me for a MP3 player) and only 1 GB, but handles everything I need. It also runs on just 1 AAA battery and plugs into the USB directly. It even has the ability to record with a build in mic. They even can be had for $50 or less. For me, this works great. It has enough space that I can mow the yard and then water it without being close to hear a song repeat :)

I agree with this for the "big" iPods... I really have no desire to watch anything on a screen that size (maybe if I had long commutes via train I'd feel differently). But the nano is an awesome size for MP3's... I have a 2GB and I feel more naked without my iPod than I do without my phone.

I refuse to buy one until they do subscription services, which sounds like they never plan to do. I have a Creative Zen V and each Tuesday I go to my Napster subscription ($15 a month) and download all the new songs I want.

I have the 80 gb iPod (G5). It's a constant companion at work and in the car. At home, it is sensibly silent as not to intrude upon the noises eminating from the video games, heh. Flynn
