It is were you get better a better download speed than upload speed. After a poor performance in London in 1899, Steinitz went insane and died a year later on August 12, 1900 at Wards Island, N.Y.

      BT's Broadband Availability Checker:

For Telephone Number [my home number here] The checker indicates that Broadband is not currently available in your area, but this is under review. Further announcements concerning this review will be published at the end of June 2002. A preliminary check on your line suggests that if Broadband were available in your area you should be able to receive Broadband services available at speeds from 512kilobits per second and 2Megabits per second downstream and 256kilobits per second upstream. Thank you for your interest.

If there was ever a time to suck up to BT, as much as it goes against my principles, now is the time. Dear Mr. BT Chairman, I'm sorry I pledged to kill your cat and force you to eat it's live testicles - please give me ADSL. I tell you, if come the end of the month they turn around and say that the Tivvy exchange didn't make it to the final list, I will go up to London and make the bastard eat my testicles. That would be kind of satisfying in a wierd kinky sort of way. :omg: ____________________ David Wulff hu·mour Pronunciation Key (hymr) n. & v. I've had broadband internet (cable) at home for almost 2 years now and it's really over-rated. You're not missing anything special. It's really not much different than dial.... *cough*... *wheeze*... *gasp*... Sorry, I can't continue with a straight face any longer. :-D :-D

                Broadband Rocks!

Always on... blazing fast downloads... multiple PC's sharing 1 connection... who am I kidding. Broadband is tits and beer, man!!! Tits and beer!!!
