BT's Broadband Availability Checker:
For Telephone Number [my home number here] The checker indicates that Broadband is not currently available in your area, but this is under review. Further announcements concerning this review will be published at the end of June 2002. A preliminary check on your line suggests that if Broadband were available in your area you should be able to receive Broadband services available at speeds from 512kilobits per second and 2Megabits per second downstream and 256kilobits per second upstream. Thank you for your interest.

I tell you, if come the end of the month they turn around and say that the Tivvy exchange didn't make it to the final list, I will go up to London and make the bastard eat my testicles. I've had broadband internet (cable) at home for almost 2 years now and it's really over-rated. You're not missing anything special.
