Interesting but I'd fire anyone who put my network diagram on the internet without my permission.

Yeah, but those in a position to fire the guy, you wouldn't recognize the network even with a huge "You are here" sign.

I'd recognize my diagram for my code if it were posted anywhere, though our diagram for the network would have to be uploaded at laughatmydiagram.com

there's a "you" to much in my original post - you'd recognize the diagram for your code, but would your boss?

my boss designed the original network diagram... however i wonder how many (the ones who aren't in the same boat as my boss) would recognize theirs including the diagrams that are labeled at the top :)

yup, but my boss used to be a peer helping on the project. The higher boss would also, because he was once the same. The CEO, nope, but since I have been getting lots of publicity lately, I could be wrong. It's hanging on the wall he just brought VIPs through over the last few days. He might have actually paid attention, he remembered I just got married and teased me again over that. Considering he has over 500 employees, that isn't bad!

That would be someone else, 50 miles northeast of here. ;P watch your spelling. ;)

Agreed. Looks like most of them are home networks. It's interesting to see the other hostnames outthere. lol.

I was a troubleshooter for the global network (almost 3,000,000 boxes) of a well-known petrochemicals company (that shell remain nameless) for about two years, so I think I know a good network diagram when I see one. And that's a good one.
