Reg:Upgrade MDAC Higher Version

Hi Friends, I have a system with windows 2000 advanced server SP4. In that system has lower version (MDAC 2.5) installed. Please help me, how can i upgrade higher version of MDAC 2.8 SP2. What is use of this? I going to install sql server 2005 express edition with advanced services SP2 in my system. I am try installing this when the system returned error for "Please upgrade new version of MDAC". Thanks in Advance Rameshkumar Thirumalaisamy

Download the installer here[^] and run it. It should install MDAC 2.8 for you. This MDAC version also ships with Windows Server 2003, so if you have a copy of that lying about somewhere you may be able to install it from the CD.

It's integrated with Windows Server 2003's Setup, not as a separate component on the CD.
