What I hate about it is that you can't use your hands! Most other sports make/let you use your entire body in some way. And what's with the "ball hitting head" thing? That hurts! :( Like it or not, I'm right.

Thats why we call it football (at least that's how it translates). You use your feet on the ball:) And what's with the "ball hitting head" thing? That hurts! OK that defeats the term football :( (and yes it hurts, but so does being forced to the ground in American Football I assume)

We played you guys tough today! Oh well, 1-2 to the 4-time world champs is not too bad :) Of course, the hard thing to swallow was having the 1-0 lead at halftime get away from us :( Cheers, Tom Archer Author - Inside C#, Visual C++.NET Bible Please remember to keep this for tax purposes.

The most soccer I watch is the highlights on the news, but apart from that I find it rather boring. I appreciate the skill involved and I acknowledge that other people find it interesting and have the right to do so.. but why!?! Did I hide behind the door when god was handing out the soccer-fanatic genes? I can name so many sports which are just plain more entertaining than soccer. If a golf tournament and a soccer match were on and I had to choose, I would have trouble deciding. * It may also have something to do with the fact that at school I was hopeless at soccer. They always stuck me in as goalie because I kept wanting to pick up the ball and run with it :) regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love, and to be loved in return - Moulin Rouge Tim Smith wrote: Over here in the third world of humor (a.k.a. Soccer is more exciting when it's played by amateurs, where points are scored more easily. When it's played by pros, scoring is a lot more difficult and the game becomes a boring chase-the-ball fest. It's no wonder why everyone goes nuts when a point is scored. Bob should definitely be throwing darts. He's obviously not constructed properly for shooting pool, though he has just the right number of fingers for bowling. But he just looks like a dart thrower... "What is it?" and he said, "I don't know. Let's kill it." - Ed Gadziemski

Now you're talking my language. A bowler too, eh? I pretty much dumped bowling when I fell in love with pool a couple of years ago. However, when I did bowl, I won my fair share of pot games and scratch league money :) I love pool, but the one thing pool doens't have is that glorious sound of a revved up reactive resin ball ripping through a rack! When that ball fips on the back end and takes a dead left turn on a beeline for the 1-3, the pins just disappear like they were never there. And that sound... :) Cheers, Tom Archer Author - Inside C#, Visual C++.NET Bible Please remember to keep this for tax purposes.

I rarely bowl anymore, but I've still got the ol' 16 pounder in the closet. There's no sound quite like that of a high speed, clean strike! I have two bowling alleys here - one across the river in a casino, the other about the same distance the other way, yet I've only bowled once while living here. None of the folks I hang out with bowl, so it's kinda dull. What I really should take up is golf! We have more golf courses here than schools, and everyone I know is an avid golfer. But I can't get over the feeling that golfing would be just an expensive way to ruin a nice walk in the park. "What is it?" and he said, "I don't know. Let's kill it." - Ed Gadziemski
