    hi how can i compiled .net program for an os like win98. .Netfamework doesn't work in such os. pleas help me! Thanks :wtf:

      AFAIK, you can't compile an app on Windows 98. The SDK version of the .NET Framework is Windows 2000 and up only. The app, once compiled, will RUN on Windows 98 under the redistributable version of the .NET Framework.

        AFAIK, you can't compile an app on Windows 98. The SDK version of the .NET Framework is Windows 2000 and up only. The app, once compiled, will RUN on Windows 98 under the redistributable version of the .NET Framework.

        IIRC 2.0 doesn't support any OS older than 2k, and you'd need to use an older version of VS to build for win98.

          2.0 still works, at least the runtime is documented to work, on Win98. I doubt it's fully supported considering Win98 doesn't have any security built into it. System requirements for .NET 2.0[^] I don't think the SDK version works on 98 though.

              You mean forexample vs 2001 can compile for win 98 !?
