Hey I am using Windows Vista with VS2005 and .NET but most of the code samples I am being given from university were developed on XP using VS2003 or VS2005. I also need to develop DirectX 9 applications so my question is this, can I install the Windows SDK for Vista and use .NET 2.0 or do I install the platform SDK. I would like to install XP but I cant get the drivers for my new laptop and if the worst comes to the worst I will install a virtual machine and put XP on it but what I want is to basically develop for XP under Vista. Does any one have any information/guidelines on this? Thanks Dan

Hey Sorted it - for anyone interested I thought .NET 3.0 was installed with the Windows SDK but you can install the SDK and it has all the headers and libs to continue coding windows apps for XP. Thanks Dam
