    Hi All, i am posting this just for your inputs for my career track ... currently i am working on Financial domain , i know Java Technologies very well but my Company puts me on Microsoft Techs. now i want suggestions from you guys about from where to start ... right now am going through books of VC++ , C# , COM.       The best choice would be to pick one language and learn that. Saying that your company "puts me on Microsoft Techs" doesn't give anyone enough information to give you an informed, intelligent answer as there are numerous technologies that could fit this description. What technologies do they expect you to learn, or did they just say "learn anything from Microsoft"?

        It really depends on what you are hoping to achieve from a career. Are you wanting to specialise in databases? If so, learn SQL Server and ADO.NET as thoroughly as possible. Is it going to be web development? Then take a look at ASP.NET.

          My team specifically working on Business Logic . they asked me to get hands over VC++ and COM programming.i want to learn both of these concepts thoroughly. what is Scope of the things i am going to learn ?
